Take this wonderful opportunity to spend your day in the most attractive village of Rhodes, the fascinating Lindos. After a drive along the east coast, passing through picturesque little villages and cosmopolitan resorts, we will reach Lindos and its famous Acropolis. The Acropolis, which can be reached either on foot or on charming little donkeys, is an approximately triangular rock, 116 meters high, which is wider and lower to the north and rises through four step-like levels to the south. The walls built by the Knights today dominate the crown of the Acropolis.
Entering the Acropolis we will admire the ruins of the castle of the Knights and the Byzantine church of St. John covered with eighteenth-century frescoes. The view from up here is breathtaking. From the South slope of the Acropolis, we will see the small sheltered harbour of Saint Paul, where the Apostle is said to have landed.
We will continue the tour walking around the picturesque village of Lindos, with its whitewashed houses and the colourful little shops before returning to Rhodes.
